The foundation walls of our historical cellar vault date back to the fortification of the Cathedral in the 10th century. Some large-size stone blocks can still be seen in the cellar today. They indicate a preceding building which is not dated. The earliest known building is a massive residential building with a spacious cellar vault dating back to the late Middle Ages. The cellar has a groined vault and was possibly used for wine trading back in the days. Today, you can enjoy the regional specialties and a glass of wine from our wide selection in this historical ambiance.
